Dear Golden Hour
Oh how I do LOVE thee!
Not until I learnt to look for light did we meet but since those early days, it has become a love affair – one-sided or no?
I see you every afternoon.
My favourite rendezvous is when you meet me at the buffel grass swaying in the breeze. I love seeing you at our front gate also, and in the dappled shade of any tree.
We don’t meet often in the early daylight hours. Sorry. It’s not you, it’s me! I’m just not a morning person. I’m sorry! I’ll try harder to be a better lover.
I’ve thought recently on ‘finding what you look for’ in everyday spaces and places. It was true of Hailey Bartholomew, in Finding Love (or SQUARES!) It was true of Hello Jo when she was finding walls. And it has been true of ‘Finding Light.”
I find light in my day – through the lens, through meditation, on my Yoga Mat, in the eyes of my children and the hearts of good people.
Thank you Golden Hour for ‘the fling’. You’ve taught me much…
