I’ve watched her Ted Talks, viewed her You Tube and Vimeo Channels, signed up for her online Tutorials and purchased her Picture Story Book for my children. Safe to say, for me, the creative Hailey Bartholomew is inspiring……
Over the past 6 weeks I have had so much fun! Shooting video, playing games, spending time with my favourites and creating – creating memories, VIDEO POSTCARDS and a base for nurture, education, security and strengthening family bonds.
You see, I involved my Little People from woe to go. They are only ages 1, 3, 5 and 7 but our first video postcard has become a little piece of us. A piece of our family ‘culture’.
The statements are fun, sincere, silly and affectionate. We are thinking of new statements of infinite love every day…. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcomes we have achieved – and that’s before the clip was even published!
Yes, we have been consumed by our iThings during this project, but finally I think in a good way! We have been creative, we have enjoyed the process not just the goal, we have been social and not rude, we have embraced technology and each other.
FYI – little kids probably know more about your iThings than you do! Haha!
My 5 year old recorded footage, My 7 year old often directed and the 3 year old was heavily involved in the audio (teeheehee) as well as the conception of the whole entire project.
Thank you Hailey for sharing enough of yourself with the world that we may choose to be inspired by your example. It was TOTALLY worth it :)
It started as a simple game come bedtime routine between my three-year-old (CeeJay) and myself, but the whole family soon joined in! I wanted them each to know that my love for them was infinite. That no matter how big a problem they ever faced, my love for them – OUR love for them – and for each other was bigger. That there is nothing that is too big or scary to share.
